Cabbage with Leeks and Dill

Ingredients

1 small cabbage - savoy or green cabbage, sliced

2 leeks (make sure you are only using the white and pale green parts)

1 small onion, chopped

2 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 bunch of dill, chopped

A drizzle of olive oil (optional)

Dash of Sea Salt

Dash of Fresh Ground Pepper

Directions

In a large sautee' pan on medium high, add leeks and onions with about 3 tablespoons filtered water.  Sautee' for 3 minutes, then add garlic.  Continue to sautee' until soft, stirring continuously. 

Toss in the cabbage with 1/2 cup water toss so leek mixture is incorporated. Cover for 8 minutes, checking if you need to add water.  If needed, gradually add 1/4 cup, still stirring.  After 8 minutes or when cabbage is tender, remove cover and toss chopped dill season with sea salt and pepper. Continue cooking until water is evaporated.

Serve alongside your favorite grilled chicken, pork, or enjoy as a main course!

Notes

This recipe uses water to sautee' rather than any sort of oil.
