Pickled Red Onion

Pickled Veggies are packed with (PROBIOTICS). Pickling is a form of fermentation. When veggies are fermented, the healthy bacteria to break down the hard-to-digest cellulose in food, as well as some natural sugar. This is why people who are lactose intolerant are able to eat yogurt. 

Ingredients

2 red onions sliced

1/2 cup red wine vinegar 

1 tablespoon honey

pinch sea salt

Directions

In a small pot over medium-low heat add vinegar and honey and cook until honey is dissolved. Toss in the red onion and cook until wilted about 4 minutes.

Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.
